Yo my name is Hugo
I like sports. my favourite subject at school is P.E.
I play Rugby,Cricket,Touch,Basketball, and I used to play soccer.
My best subject at school is Maths.
We have a boat and we sometimes go Fishing.
I have a dog called Chandler.He is a labradoodle.My favourite band is the script and my favourite tv show's are SpongeBob Squarepants and man vs wild.

Wassup its "ur boi Hugo"
Today I will be telling you about my Maths goal and How I will achieve it.
My Maths goal is to recognise equivelant operation integers.
I will achieve this by
Practising 3 times a week
Practise on maths Websites.
Wassup I'm back, Rainforest Express
On Tuesday the 8th of March Room 9(our class) Room 8 and half of Room 13 went to The Rainforest Express in the Waitakere forest.
But we didn't even get their till 10:15 because the bus ride took about an hour! When we finally got their we got told the rules of the train.We loaded on
all our bags at the back of the train.Then we hopped on the train.The train was so tiny because otherwise we wouldn't of been able to fit through the tunnles.
We went through 10 tunnels and over 9 bridges. We got shown some kauri snails before we left. In one of the tunnles there were glow worms and in another tunnle there were cave weta's.Once the train ride was done we got off the train and went up some stairs and got to the top of the dam. We had some lunch and went on the bush walk.The bush walk should of took aproxtimately 40 minutes but we all ran it and it took about 25 minutes. Then we got on the bus and went back to school for about an hour and ten minutes.

Today I'm going to tell you about a book I recomend called Monstrum House This is a short chapter book of about 170-200 pages. There are 4 books in this series which go in this order Locked in, Creeped out, Sucked under and Taken over. These are adventure books about a boy called Jasper who goes to boarding school but figures out that it is no ordinary Boarding school.

Orakei Marae On Monday all of the year 5's went to the Orakei Marae. We had to peform the song E Toru Nga Mea to the Marae. After that we split into two groups one of boys one of girls. The boys learnt a Haka and the girls learnt a poi dance. After we had learnt them we meet back at the main part of the marae. The girls performed there poi dance and the boys performed their Haka.
Tomorrow I'll be back to tell you about Orientering and Tree adventures. But until then see you later.
Tree adventures/Orientering On Tuesday half of Year 5 went to Tree adventures and the other half of year 5 went to Waiatarua reserve to do orientering.On Tuesday I did Tree adventures. The funnest part of Tree adventures was at the end of a stage when there was the flying fox. I also liked the zip line and everything that wobbled. The next day I did orientering which was just as fun. What we had to do was we got a card and we had to find the stamps and stamp the card. It was so fun but got everybody really tired.Their were two courses so half of us had to do course 1 and half did course 2.
Wave pools On Thursday all of year 5 went to a wave pool to cap off EOTC week. At the Wave pool there was a spectacular hydro slide and every half an hour huge waves were pushing us back. every now and again we would be allowed to cannonball into the pool but we had to do it in the deep end. Trying to swim against the waves was very challenging to do because you get pushed under and pushed back. The hydro slide was awesome because in some parts it was pitch black

Natural products
This term we are focusing on Natural products. Our class is going to create a natural drink. My idea is a tea that gives kids
energy before a hard day at school. On Tuesday we looked at some drinks kids had brought in and only a few of them were natural.
We had to write a short statment about what is has in it and whether it was natural or not. Then we had to draw a picture of the drink.
On Wednesday we had to come up with a natural drink to make, write who the target audience is and write what the purpose is. Then we had to write a short statment about it.
Last week we had speakers from Nature bee and eco store. Both the buisnesses make natural products but Eco store focuses on cleaning
products and Nature bee focuses on tablets,cough lollies. We write down everything we learnt. I learnt the entire process of the bees making honey.
